Castle Park / On-site
The Castle Park in Slavičín is perfect for a nice walk with children. It features a large natural amphitheater, volleyball courts, a bowling alley, a wooden gazebo with a dance floor, and a children’s playground. In the autumn, you can go chestnut hunting in the chestnut alley. The Castle Park also hosts various cultural and sporting events.
Slavičín Museum / 372 m (7 min. walk)
Slavičín is rich in cultural and historical landmarks. The museum has a permanent exhibition about the aerial battle that took place on August 29, 1944, over Slavičín and its surrounding areas. Another significant exhibition showcases archaeological finds from Slavičín and the surrounding region.
St. Wenceslaus Church / 449 m (10 min. walk)
St. Wenceslaus and St. Cecilia Church is located in Slavičín, Zlín Region. The church is surrounded by a cemetery, where the graves of twenty-eight American airmen who died during the battle over the White Carpathians are located. They were buried here on August 31, 1944. The church is the parish church of the Roman Catholic Parish of Slavičín. Beneath the church, there is a St. Wenceslaus charity.
Pivečka´s Forest Park / 1 km (20 min. walk)
Pivečka’s forest park was founded in 1936 by the Pivečka’s family as a relaxation zone for the residents of Slavičín, especially for the employees of their shoe company. Its charm is mainly due to the wooden sculptures, works by young sculptors, students of the Prague Academy of Art, Architecture, and Design.
