PEAT WRAP

The peat wrap is a popular and proven treatment using natural peat, providing relief from chronic joint and spine pain. This hyperthermal treatment places higher demands on the heart and vascular system. It is primarily used for chronic degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The peat is prepared in a mixer by adding spring water to dry peat mixture and heating it to a temperature of 44–46°C. The heated peat, combined with spring water, is applied directly to the affected part of the body.

PARAFFIN WRAPS

Paraffin is a special wax obtained through the distillation of petroleum. Its main advantage, and the reason it is used in wraps, is its ability to retain heat for a long time, which helps warm the treated area.

Under normal conditions, paraffin is in a solid form, but before being applied to the skin, it must first be heated to a liquid state. The temperature of the liquid paraffin is approximately 55°C. It is then applied to the client’s body, where it works for 20–30 minutes. During this time, the tissues are gradually warmed, stimulating blood circulation, which speeds up cellular metabolism, promotes regeneration in the treated area, and helps relieve muscle and joint tension.

Indications for paraffin wraps include musculoskeletal disorders, either post-injury or degenerative, such as chronic rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative joint disease, Bechterew’s disease, tennis elbow, various neurological conditions, or peripheral circulation problems.

Of course, there are contraindications for paraffin wraps, including open wounds, feverish conditions, pregnancy, acute skin diseases, or sensitivity to heat.

PARAFFIN WRAP FOR THE HANDS

The hands are first disinfected, then dipped into hot paraffin. Afterward, the hands are wrapped in plastic gloves and then in towel gloves to keep the heat locked in. The treatment lasts for about 15–20 minutes. Once the paraffin is removed, a gentle massage with nourishing cream or oil for the cuticles is applied.

Health Restrictions

Entry to beer baths is subject to certain health considerations. While participation is not strictly limited, we recommend that guests with heart conditions and pregnant women postpone their visit to a more suitable time – in the interest of their health and safety.

Children are permitted only under the supervision of an adult.
On weekends, the wellness area is accessible to children aged 10 and above.
